Catching the back end of storm Caroline which has given us snow showers for the last 2 days. Delamere forest gave us some pretty moody views to capture with its partially snow covered paths and frozen lakes. A change in theme for these pics leading with de-saturated oranges and greens.

I remember seeing a picture like this a long time ago. I knew at that point that I would have to go and experience it for myself one day. After some research, it turns out that if you wait until the end of the Summer the sun sets right at the top of the valley resulting in this magnificent sunset! I still feel like the picture doesn’t even do it justice!

So, this is during my university life. I had planned to capture light trails in Manchester since a long time. One night after dinner, a week before I was returning to my home country for summer break I suddenly decided to hit the road for light trails. For me it’s not about the end result always, it’s more about the process. Because the process he’s you to the destination and that’s not only in photography but in life everywhere.

Managed to get this shot about halfway through my hike the other day. I peaked the trail I was on to discover a deserted reservoir, not a person in sight. Ended up jumping the wall surrounding it to shoot some stuff, resulting in this image. Luke.x

An inquisitive tree lover from my local park gardens. Probably on the hunt for snacks but only finding photos. I love the longing look into the mid distance pose I managed to direct.

This is the old Littlewoods building where hundreds of thousands of catalogue orders were processed when the building was in it’s prime. (I believe) It’s now been left in a derelict state, waiting it’s rebuild as a sound stage and movie studios over the next five years. This was taken on my lunch break as I work opposite this decrepit monolith and see it every day. Happy to finally get a change to photograph it.

The female Liver Bird is said to look over the river Mersey looking out for sailors that are entering the port. The male Liver Bird is looking over the city said to be looking for the pub.

We took a walk in Bradgate park, Leicestershire to try out a new camera. The park is an enclosed deer park where the deer can roam free. The path ran along side some ferns, and as we reached it, a we saw a deer disappear into the greenery, with only it’s antlers showing. We moved in line with the deer, hoping it would look up, but only when my wife started making noises with her mouth did we get it’s attention. It looked up, and straight at us, and with full zoom I managed to capture a few pictures before it ran away. I love the colours in this shot, and how the ferns frame the deer’s head.

The Gormley ‘In Another Place’ sculptures are famous on Crosby beach, children play amongst them and occasionally tourists and art lovers interact with them, but when the tide marches in they remain, motionless staring out to sea with only a horizon filled with wind turbines for company. I doubt Gormley’s original intention was to highlight climate reality, but the image of the figure staring out to sea at the turbines is a powerful one nonetheless.

This is one of those classic shots where you get the shots set up you get the angle right and then everything changes but in this case, for the better. the sea washed in and with a bit of seafoam and it made the whole thing come together especially when you can see the flow of the water just caressing the side of the shell

This has to be my favourite image from my latest day shooting and this was a super last minute shot. I had my bag on my back, heading up the beach to catch my train home, camera still in hand. I happened to see these two lads just sat in total silence, glaring at the sunset, just like they were hooked in the moment. So down I got (to their level) and took the shot. Best last minute shot ever. Luke. x

Off on a weekend with some friends who love to overland and camp. We spent the morning fighting the unrelenting usual English weather of rain followed by more rain. Upon our return to camp pictured here the weather just decided to break and for the rest of the day we got stunning blue skies and a perfect example of a great summers day. I spent about 20 minutes flying my Mavic Air over camp taking a few video clips and messing about with some compositions.

After a 7 mile walk around the beautiful Gisburn Forrest in the Forrest of Bowland we were against the clock. The winer sun was setting fast and so we knew we had to take a shortcut through, what looked like, a disused track back to our car We stumbled across an old pine forrest that had been hit by a massive storm only a couple of years ago. Everything was perfect, the sun just landing on the horizon, the temperature dropping to 0c and even Wally our dog not running through shot. Amazing what you find off the beaten path

Im a student, I live in London 9 out of the 12 months so when I visit home, there is no better feeling than breathing the fresh air and exploring my surroundings. Ashby Ville is a lake which took the life of one of my close friends when I was younger, the council took action and made the area safer and more environmentally friendly, it was great to explore the new land.

It was a gruelling climb up Y Garn (947m), North Wales in the dark this particular morning, with the objective of capturing the sunrise from the top. It was well worth the total exhaustion! As the sun rose higher we then headed over towards Glyder Fawr (1001m) to get better views across the Snowdonia mountain range. As we came over the ridge this was the view that confronted us. A stunning spectacle of light and shadows created my mist/haze over the mountain tops and valleys. Swapping the wide angle lens for a zoom lens enabled capturing of the full impact of the layered light.

Nothing extraordinary about this - just with the extended family, and I loved the way the abandoned floats had clustered down one end of the pool. Almost as if they knew the people had given up on the pool for the day and they only had each other for company.

Shot this at Pen Y Pass (Snowdonia) last month during sunset. This time of year the sun sets between the mountains and just behind Padarn and Peris lakes.

On a day hike up Mount Snowdon in Wales I found a hidden lake of crystal blue water. After trying to find the perfect vantage point for the best part of an hour I captured this shot of hidden water.
